Yeah. Have to be careful with the oils. They’re easily contaminated.

Great suggestion. I noticed this problem with my Oilve oil. I had put it in a dish on my vanity and repeatedly dipped into it for my face. One day I looked at it and was thoroughly grossed out by the stuff floating in there! Appreciate the advice about coconut oil–I plan to start using it.

LOL. Girl I’m no nutritionist. I’ve never eaten oil either. You can keep it refridgerated if you want. That can help it remain pure too.

Extra Virgn coconut oil is great for the scalp because it’s light and allows the scalp to breathe. You can keep it in the fridge if you’re in a warm climate, take out a little at a time, warm it to melt with your fingers and use it on your scalp and hair if you want.

Condition condition condition. Deep condition with a cholesteral treatment from Sallys or something … If it’s dry, do a hot oil treatment with Extra virgin olive oil. Although it has petroleum, Blue Magic Coconut Oil keeps my hair a LOT more moisturized than the extra virgin. I also use Braids spray on my hair everyday. It makes it very soft! Hope this helps.

Hi Twists and Curls. I’ve never used raw shea butter. You can check the cost on coconut oil online. I don’t remember the cost.

Thanks for this advice. Do you recommend separating shea butter in lanother container as well? Also, how much did the coconut oil cost approximately?

Hi ntrlbttrfly22. I wouldn’t use it for food but no, it should be fine. It’s just the repeated dipping that gives you the bad smell.

Awesome tip! I never would have known this. Question: Have I already ruined mine by scooping it with a comb?
